Cable 'Rings up' More value with new, lower local rates

With some hard-hitting recent rate cuts on Internet Dial Up, International Calls (to 15 popular countries) and Mobile across the board, Cable & Wireless has now set their sights on making local calls even more affordable by squeezing it's peak & off-peak fixed-line rates by up to 20%!

All customers alike, as from the 1st of April 2006, will now enjoy the following reduced rates:

Residential, business and payphone customers making local fixed-line to fixed-line calls will benefit from the new peak and off-peak rates, including those making fixed-line calls to Airtel fixed-line numbers.

"No matter who you are, if you're a Cable & Wireless customer, you're talking to your friends, family and colleagues at some of the lowest call rates this country has to offer! Let's face it, when a 1 hour off-peak call costs less than SR12, all you need to do is kick back & relax! Go on, take advantage from April 1st!"

Peak hours for local fixed-line calls are from 7am to 8pm (Monday to Friday) with off-peak being from 8pm to 7am (Monday to Friday), all day Saturday, Sunday and on Public Holidays.
