Barclays Seychelles Ltd. and Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd. launch the first ATM Mobile TopUp in Seychelles!

Monday March 24th, 2008 - Barclays announced today the launch of a new value added service for its customers: "ATM Mobile Top Up". Barclays Electron Card holders can, effective from Monday the 24th of March 2008, use Barclays ATMs to purchase Cable Prepaid Vouchers to top up their Cable Prepaid mobile. The service is free of charge and available 24 hours a day through the Barclays ATMs located across Mahe, Praslin & coming soon to La Digue.

Barclays is introducing this service in cooperation with Cable & Wireless Seychelles as part of its commitment to offering its customers more value-added services. "Many Barclays customers use prepaid mobiles and therefore we have managed to establish a key relationship with Cable & Wireless to provide this service for our account holders" says Frank Hoareau, MD of Barclays Seychelles.

Barclays ATMs had been used principally for cash withdrawal, but now its functionality is being further extended. "This new ATM facility will allow us to offer our customers the highest possible level of flexibility," said Charles Hammond, CE of Cable & Wireless Seychelles.

With its extended availability 24 hours a day, the ATM Mobile TopUp complements other top up methods currently in use, such as eTopUp, me2u TopUp and vouchers. Mr. Hammond went on to add that the service is also quick, easy and secure.

Topping up a Cable Prepaid from a Barclays ATM is incredibly easy. A customer simply inserts the Barclays Electron card into the ATM and enters the PIN. Then, he or she selects the "Other" option followed by "Other" and "Mobile Top Up". "C&W" option is then selected for a choice of top up amounts being SR25, SR50, SR100 or SR200. The ATM will then issue the top up voucher as an ATM receipt with a top up number on it. The cost of top up is automatically deducted from the customer's bank account. A customer can then top up their mobile by either following the instructions on the receipt or dialing '110' from their prepaid mobile for voice instructions.

Barclays has joined forces with Cable & Wireless Seychelles to offer this service demonstrating an innovative approach to efficient, end-to-end customer service.
