• 1G: The 1980’s brought us the first generation of mobile networks, allowing us to transfer voice through an analogue connection. 
• 2G: In 1991 we evolved to the 2G network. The first of its kind to use digital signal, we can now also send SMS messages!
• With the 2000s came the 3G network, now we’re able to transmit data up to 2 Mbps. This great change brought about surfing the internet, playing games and downloading files.
• Then 4G LTE came along, this was all about the difference in the speed as it allows 4 times more speed than 3G! 

And now, as we steadily make our way in the 2020s… we are pleased to bring you the first experience of 5G in the Indian Ocean. With 5G and all of its state-of-the-art features, we can build a strong, fast & reliable connection for all our users.

But how does 5G benefit me?

That’s a great question! If you currently are unable to acquire a 5G enabled phone, you will not be able to access the full experience of the new 5G network yet. However, with this current upgrade, you will start to see an improvement in your data service, giving you better speed & more reliability (especially in those high-traffic areas)!

Though it is extremely fast, 5G represents more than just speed for us. It is reliability, optimum-connectivity and allowing you to experience the digital, in real-time.
